This week Knysna played host to a group of local and national journalists and influencers who attended the official media launch of the Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival to experience “Knysna in an Oyster shell.”

Knysna Ambassadors Graduate

Congratulations to all the new Knysna Ambassadors who graduated this week at a ceremony hosted by Belvidere Manor. All 20 of them successfully completed the three-day Tourism Ambassador Course run by the Francois Ferreira Academy in March, and sponsored by Skal International.

Desired State of GRNP

Cycling for Seahorses

Featherbed is Rising! – a Horticulturist’s Tale

Martin Hatchuel studied horticulture in Johannesburg and Durban, and then used his knowledge to become a guide at Featherbed, and in the Knysna forests in the mid-80s. Last year after the fires, Featherbed Co asked him to come back as a horticulturist to help with the rehabilitation of the vegetation.
